PLAY TO BE…
Being an impression of senses, product of imagination, story, fuse and passion, the Theatre shall always be аn important part of the human acknowledgment. It is the general perspective of the outlook, of the life, because it is perfect in all its aspects and each and every part of it seems to represent the life itself more thoroughly. The limitations, such as the short time available and the pretty big space, do not make it possible to fully imitate what is actually happening in the real life. The issue of knowing what is the spectator supposed to see, or rather only understand from the play thereof, is not of marginal importance when it comes to the art play. Actually, by diverging from the natural appearance, it is completely possible that we turn the spectator’s attention to the main issues, so that they don’t keep their thoughts on others, or justify them. To which extent may we present to the spectator more than a simple conversation, without distancing them from the natural element?

“On the other side” is a play addressing the lonely lives of four persons and their efforts to speak of their respective personal stories. Perhaps these stories are not as important and special, but they mean a lot to them. Each and every one of these stories ends with one single sentence. It is worth knowing that this sentence may be said in million ways. No wonder that people in their forties have the feeling that their lives have no special meaning. It is about this mid-age crisis.

The performance “From X to X” is a comical piece dedicated to football. The performance portrays a collage of motives from and for “the most important secondary thing on earth”. There are five young actors playing, but they are not acting; they are rather portraying, on their behalf, and physically demonstrating “the bright and dark side” of modern football.

We often walk in Mr. Single’s shoes in the world created by him. His head, slightly bowed, brings to your mind the geometry of his steps. Nothing has changed in years. The voices of lonely battle, the battle he cannot win, change into significant and known language. Mr. Single becomes “Mr. Single”.

Indeed, ever since God and the world existed, since the mankind existed, there are CONSTRUCTORS AND DESTROYERS existing within and operating, ruining and destroying what was built, as it was the only way of existence. For the CONSTRUCTOR, it is necessary to, before all, gain; learn to proudly wear the BEAUTIFUL HUMAN FACE. Then, they need to learn how to read the cosmos and its meaning and inscribe it onto the buildings. They should give face and shape to the existing materials (belonging to this world) and name them, before they surrender in time...

“The Storm” is considered to be the latest work of Shakespeare. The motive behind this work is the stories of English sailors exploring the distant and unknown seas. However, Shakespeare did not find that interesting the travel stories as such, but rather it is the examination of human spirit and the wrong way of living, a life that people create themselves, which is against the laws of nature and in contradiction with themselves.

“La femme comme champ de bataille“ or “The body of a woman as a battlefield” is the story of two human destinies during the Bosnian war. However, the historic event contains the meaning of analysing human cruelty, violence and madness, generated by nationalism.
There is Dorra, a victim, who was raped during the war by a man who might have been her neighbour, her classmate, her brother’s friend…
The EUROP’ ARTES is a product of an artistic journey, where the multicultural dialogue comes on surface, aiming at developing and expanding our cultural inheritance. Our goal is to reposition contemporary borders.

The performance starts up with series of addresses in a little town in Salento that get lost along the trails of the storytelling, until they turn into a specific migrant story: a post-war Italy, the agreements between the new Italian Republic and Belgium. Two chairs, a lamp and two actors on the stage. The performance was written by people who have an ordinary past, characterised by family migration.
